Fuels Blending.

Fuels Blending is the process of combining compatible industrial waste materials—such as solvents, oils, and residues—to create an alternative fuel source. Recycling companies use this method to safely recover the energy value of waste, supplying industries like cement kilns or boilers with a cost-effective substitute for fossil fuels, while reducing landfill use and environmental impact.

The following conditions apply to all FB prefix waste unless noted otherwise. No asbestos, mercury, cyanides, sulfides, reactives, pesticides, monoliths or large pieces of metal or concrete. Halogens / sulfur less than 5%, PCB's <50ppm.. BTU's >5000

CA01 Pumpable Flammable liquids for fuel blending (>5,000 BTUs < 5" sludge) < 5 in dispersable sludge, low viscosity, <5% water, must not react with water or solvents.  Must be pumpable, the consistency of water to motor oil.
CA02 Flammable liquids for fuel blending (>5,000 BTUs > 5" sludge) > 5 in dispersable sludge, low viscosity, <5% water, must not react with water or solvents.  Must be disporseable (can be extruded from a drum via crusher), the consistency of water to motor oil.  Sludge must be soft (rod can easily pass through it)
CA03 Liquids with hard solids for fuel blending (>5,000 BTUs, >3"" sludge) >3 in sludge, <5% water, must not react with water or solvents.  Liquid phase must be pumpable.  Solids not dispersable.
CA04 >5%-25% Halogenated solvents for fuels blending < 5 in sludge, low viscosity, must not react with water or solvents
CA05 Rags and pads for fuels blending <250lbs/55G, must not react with water or solvents, <5% fee liquids
CA06 Acidic liquids for fuels blending Must not react violently with water or bases.  
CA07 Alkaline liquids for fuels blending Mustnot react violently with water or acids
CA08 RCRA Exempt rags <250lbs/55G,must not react with water or solvents, no free liquids
